Mary Evelyn Garrett Turner, 62 of Miamisburg, OH passed away January 12, 2009 at her residence. Mary was born June 5, 1946 in Middlesboro, KY to the late James Monroe and Evelyn Frances (Woolum) Garrett. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Charles W. Turner in 2005 and her brother Charles Garrett. Mary is survived by her sons, Darrell W. Turner of Miamisburg, OH, Larry A. (Connie) Turner of Independence, KY, Keith E. (Stacy) Turner of West Carrollton, OH and Kevin L. (Misty) Turner of Miamisburg; her daughter, Melissa F. (Brian) Casey of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Matt, Kasey, Nathan, Charles, Traycie, Dennis, Kevin Jr. and Morgan Turner, and Aaron Casey; brothers, James O. (Sandra) Garrett of Middlesboro, KY, L. Cecil (Karen) Garrett of Hillsboro, OH, William L. (Paula) Garrett and Richard E. (Laura) Garrett both of Xenia, OH; sisters A. Marie (Eddie) Cash of Jamestown, OH and A. Faye (Allen) O'Neal of Russell, KY; special friends, the Brun Family and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary attended Middlesboro High School in Kentucky and was employed at Salinas Industries (formerly Schroeders) and Ample Industries paper company. Mary dedicated the majority of her life to her family and caring for others. She was a member of the Miamisburg Assembly of God and enjoyed cooking for those she loved. Funeral services will begin 11:00 am January 16, 2009 at Miamisburg Assembly of God, 501 N. Ninth St., officiated by Pastor John Swint. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm January 15, 2009 at the church. Burial at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206 or Miamisburg Assembly of God.
