Yes Doug, William and Gratton were brothers. William was born in 1850 to Jilson Preston and Amanda Walters. I've not met Linda Taylor but we have communicated thru different web sites. William Prestons second wife was Spanish , we believe. My father told me her name years ago but i can't think of it right now. William's first wife was Sarah Ellen Freeman. They had Robert, Frank, Mayme, Ollie, Mattie, Bradley, Howard and Ed. Been trying to find out info on Ruth Stone but haven't had any luck yet. No info on John Jilson except that he came from Ireland. Lewis's first name was Lewis , he never had the name Jilson. I don't believe the Gormanston Preston line is ours. Our family were farmers and carpenters. How did you get Philip? Most of the irish prestons did come from Lancashire, the Gormanston ones anyway. can't afford DNA, can't afford Ancestry either.
