Thank-you for responding. The particular microfilms I need are not available through the the LDS church/family history centers (I have checked with them). I'm a family history consultant . . . I have also checked with the Kansas Historical Society --- they do not loan their microfilms out of state and I live far away. Since my research material is so specific, I need someone with a generous heart to go to the Historical Society in Topeka and search the particular newspapers I'm interested in. The newspapers are as follows:

Neosho Valley Register :10/4/1859--10/24/1861 ;Burlington, Coffey KS ; B 923
Kansas Patriot : 9/3/1864--12/28/1867 ;Burlington,Coffey, KS ;B 232
Hampden Expositor [single issue only] :7/9/1864 ;Hampden, Coffey, KS ; G 946
Free West [file is scattered] ; 8/1869--11/1870 ;Burlington, Coffey, KS ;B 920

I am looking for anything re: George Harris and/or Lavinia Bishop, or any Harris or Bishop family during the period of about 1858-1870.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway! I do check with the LDS church when I need a microfilm --- great resource.
