If I am recalling correctly, I found this information during a search at the Indianola library in fall 2001 and neglected to note the source of this information. I came back with 700 pages of information and it was a real crazy trip and I have not even gone through the information yet. I do not think it is a mistaken identity as there were only two Emanuel Shupes that I can find in Warren Co. Iowa, one who I descend from who was married to Temperance Schaefer and remained married to her until she died in 1875. The other Emanuel you claim to descend from. Can you please provide the source for your information that your Emanuel is the same Emanuel and that he married Anna Good in 1871? Do you have an exact date for this marriage, and if not, how is it determined that the marriage occurred in 1871? I always figured that Emanuel would have remarried after Margaret Hall died when your Emanuel was only 23 years old. I'm not sure yet how Margaret Hall might fit into the Hall family that I am related to in Warren Co. Iowa. I would be very interested in seeing your information and sources.
