In the 1900 Census Stephen and Jane (Sullivan) Curley are listed under marshall co. liberty twnshp, they eventually moved to zearing Iowa with their family in 1912.
Their children listed in that census are: John W. b. 1879, Catherine (Kate) 1880, Mary 1881, Elizabeth 1884, Fannie 1889, Willie 1894, Celia 1895 and Elsie 1898. Kate's husband David Cameron b. 1877 is also listed with them.
Elsie is my great grandmother I know nothing of her childhood thru her marriage to my great grandfather Paul DeLong on September 13,1915
.
Kate and David had the following children listed w/ them in the 1910 Fed. Census. Viola M. age 9, Ruth E. 7, Donald G. 4,
Ada L. 1. In the 1920 fed. census for story county another son Francis age 8 was living with Kate's parent's Stephen and Jane Curley.
By 1920 Kate is gone and David is remarried and living in Minnesota with his second wife Dortha? and has 2 daughters, the only child from his first marriage with him is Donald.
What happened to Kate (Curley) Cameron?, What happened to Viola, Ruth and Ada? Did Francis stay in story co. or did he move on with his father? I read a book the History of Zearing Iowa pub. 1956. There name Viola Cameron Golly as a source for some Cameron information.
Stephen and Jane Curley's other children John, Mary, Elizabeth, Fannie, Willie and Celia. Did they marry and stay in the area?
Jane died on December 10.1929 and Stephen died on April 12, 1952, I think they both died in Zearing.
Any information on these people would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to find direct descendants to work with for a more complete family history.
Thank you,
Betty
