This is one of those longshots we can't resist taking . . .

Since you were born and grew up in Boone County, did you happen to know any of the Clergy family? The patriarch was Amos Clergy, botn in 1852 in France. He and his wife Anna had about nine children.

Amos was in Boone County since at least 1880; he married Anna in 1883.

My only sister-in-law is a Clergy, and I'd love to make contact with this branch of her family.
