I am trying very hard to document one branch of the family where the family bible is falling apart.
one member of the family claims that Fredrick Simmons married Mariah Parish Laughton/Lawton in Tippecanoe County, Indiana on Oct 24, 1864, but the others say it was in Michigan.
So to settle the issue, would someone please lookup the marriage record for this couple and get back with us at MQuiltr2@aol.com
It would also be helpful to know exactly what the marriage record states for parents of the couple, if they recorded that sort of information at that time.
Also, does anyone know when they started recording births in this county and state?
