Its so nice to have a reply from someone. I was beginning to wonder if anyone seen me on here. I have sent so many quieres out to people- and I am glad you have wrote.
" I wish" I had pictures of Hiram and Rebecca. The best that I can do is a picture of their daughter Catherine Phoebe Jones and her her husband Issac Pembrook West. Hiram and Rebecca are my 3rd great grandparents. I also have their (Hiram and Rebeccas) wedding certificate from Holmes County Ohio.
I have a very very important question. This is all seriousness. Does your husband recolect "any Native American" in our family what so ever??
The reason I ask is the one thing we have in our family is the lactose intolerence. My father and I have pretty badly, and my brother gets away with pills.
And the other very important thing that happened to me, is that after my grandfather passed away, I visited him or
he me. And this is the reason why...he greeted me in a way that I have found out through a history teacher, who knows Indian history, was a old Algonquin greeting. Now that covers I believe eastern Indians- the 5 civilized tribes from New York and those areas.
I was always told it growing up, and I am still looking. I dont believe that its Rebecca Morningstar Lightfoot Jones- unless an adoption????
