Ann, I have a little bit of information about the Jeffries in Rush County. I am looking for more information on another Jeffries in Rush County, however.

James Jeffries born about 1786 in Virginia, married Ruth Billings in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama in 1836. He lived in Ripley Township near Walker and Macklin Jeffries in 1850. James and Ruth were in Tennessee, Alabama and Ohio before 1850.

He is part of this extended Jeffries family, but I've been unable to find much information on him. Any chance you have some information on him?
