Levi was from Greene County, PA. I've found him in the 1850 Census with his parents and siblings. He married a gal from Ohio and they lived in Anderson, IN where they are buried with their daughter. His brother, Mark was also an enlistee during Civil War.

The John Patterson you found that went to Monongehela, PA is not mine....just John H. Patterson. I know where his grave is in Washington, Washington Co., PA. in a Civil War section.

Do any of your records reflect any of his parents or siblings? That's my brick wall. I know both his wives names and children, but that's it. There are about 5 James Pattersons in Washington records and I can't determine to which he belongs.
