James Charles Cannon is s/o William Cannon b 1833 OH and Mary E. Botkin b 1836 OH. We are exploring the possibility that William could be s/o James Cannon and Mary Jackson, but so far have not found anything that nails that. My connection is through Botkin – Mary E. is sister to my GG Grandfather Beniah Botkin. I have a great deal of information on this family (census, marriage, and even some obits – thanks to a kind Cannon genealogist). I do not have Richard attached as a child to these parents. WILLIAM CANNON was born Abt. 1833 in Ohio. He married MARY E. BOTKIN February 22, 1857 in Marshall County, Indiana, daughter of CHARLES BOTKIN and LUCRETIA UNKNOWN. She was born October 23, 1836 in Ohio.
