Hello - you didn't mention the name of the deceased, but perhaps this is the cemetery? http://files.usgwarchives.net/in/lake/cemetery/hess-pap.txt - this is for the Hess/Hessville/Pauper Cemetery in Hessville, a par of Hammond, IN.

According to my parents, who grew up & still live in that area, this "Paupers" cemetery was originally established on the Hess family farm for the Hess family, later was a true "paupers" cemetery, and eventually evolved into just a rather inactive regular but small cemetery.

Dad also mentioned another cemetery not far away from this one, also located in the Hessville part of Hammond, that he could not recall the name of & I couldn't locate one on the internet.
