Lifelong Resident of Jefferson County Passes Away At Her Home on Michigan Road Mrs. Cynthia A. Smith, widow of George Washington Smith, died at the Smith homestead on the Michigan Rd.yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock of the infirmities of age, after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Smith was 72 yrs. old and her entire life was spent in the neighborhood of her home.

She was a devoted mother, a kind friend and neighbor and a lifelong member of Hebron Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her in death 16 yrs. ago. She leaves eight children- Mrs. Mary Jane Phillips, Mrs. Sarah Conover, Mrs. Emma Dunham, Jerry Smith, Mrs. Hattie Phillips, Mrs. Minnie Buchanan, Charles E. Smith of St. Louis and George O. Smith.

The funeral will be held at Hebron Church Friday morning at ten o'clock and interment will be in the Hebron Cemetery.
