Carlile b. 9 Jan 1830 in Tuscarwara, OH (now Carrol Co.) m. Sarah Jane Smith 30 Dec 1860 in Ringold Co., IA. There is a Sarah E. Carlile, wife of Wm. M. buried in Marshalltown Cemetery in Ringold Co., IA. She died 14 June 1860 age 28 y, 7?m, 23?d . This is near Mt. Ayr where William. M. enlisted in 1862.There is a photo of her headstone and one for their son, Samuel W. Carlile, d. 29 Aug 1868, age 14y, 5?m, 19d. I found this through an IAGENWED search and have attached the photos.
