Mr. Jas. D. Smith, father of Mrs. D.H. Russell of this city, died at his home in Benton County, Indiana, on Wednesday, 2nd inst. Mr. Smith was a native of this County, where he lived until 1868, when he moved to Indiana. He was an upright, Christian man, and leaves many friends and relatives in this County to mourn his death.
