My grandmother Grace Iola (Wright) Fuller wrote about her ancestors many years ago, i believe for a school project or something. Well there are Chalfants in her line. Her father was Thomas E Wright b 28 aug 1862, d 18 jan 1946, his parents are Benjamin Franklin Wright b 17 jun 1828, d 7 apr 1880, and Margaret Chalfant b 19 dec 1829, d 9 dec 1902, Margarets parents are Walter Brown Chalfant b 8 may 1794 d ? 16 oct 1865, I have a lot of info on walter, he married molly budd brown of Mt Holly NJ on 21 mar 1816, she was born 9 dec 1793, d 25 may 1871, His parents are Chadds Chalfant born in the mid 1700's is all i have for a date, the name chadds came from where they lived, Chadds Ford Pa, his wifes maiden name is all i have no first name, McManna, They had 1 daughter, Elizabeth, who married Wesley McCracken, They had SIX sons, Walter is the youngest, the others James married twice, had 19 children. Robert, Mordecia, Abner, and Basil all moved to Ohio. I hope this helps. This is the first post i have ever made, let me know the best place to post this.
