Thank you so much for replying to my message. It is very possible that one of those Johns could be my great great grandfather. Can not understand why they put Arthursville, Ill. as birth place as I am pretty sure Alfred was born in Indiana but I thought the family might have been in Illinois by 1870 census as I can not seem to find an 1870 census on them in Indiana.
