My Mother, who is still living, and has a pretty good mind for someone who is 98 is from Nora, Illinois, but is familiar with the other little towns close by there. Her father was an orphan train rider and grew up on the farm of Bruce and Abby Minor, 1/2 mile south and 1/2 mile west of Nora. His name was James Gallagher. He married Anna Hartsough, also of Nora.
