Need help locating any information in connection with African-American families who lived in Williamson County, IL betw. 1905-1925. AUSTIN EUGENE ROLLAN is the main focus of my inquiry, but sometimes his surname was CALDWELL or COWELL He was born between 1905 and 1912, in Williamson County. He had a sister named Florence, and a sister named Ruby.

ROLLAN was spelled many different ways: ROLLIN, RAWLIN, RAWLINGS, etc.

This man was the last man hanged in the territory of Alaska (under the name "Eugene LaMoore"). It is very possible that he was an innocent man.
