Hello Helen! Is there any researching done for the Early Churches there in Shelby Co.? My fourth G Grandfather JOHN
CLARIDGE Sr. was one of the FirstMethodistPreachers'(Deacon)
there. He and Family came there in the late 1820s. On the
1830 and 40 census. Died there in 1845.Any Obits for that time-frame? Also did he Preach in a Church or only in a lady's home as I have read. His Son-In-law, Lemuel Dazey, was a Preacher also! Are the Preachers' that performed the Wedding Ceremonies listed in the records? JOHN Jr was on the same census as above.

I know I have asked a lot of questions but I do get carried
away when talking FAMILY! If I have asked too much, I will
understand!! Anything or reference as to what I can Research
will be realy be appreciated! E-mail me if you wish!
