And that info is precisely why it is so difficult to tie the families together as there were also many common first names in them, like William, John, James, etc, not to mention that in the earlier censuses, the enumerator's spelling of the surnames was more than likely incorrect. My post was made hoping that someone who is related would see it and have some definitive information prior to 1830.
