REV. ELSTON, 89, DIES

Rev. Howard L. Elston, 89, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Richland County, died March 22 at a hopsital in Denver.
Services and burial were held there. He was born in Richland County August 30, 1884, son of Newton J. and Alma Baker Elston. He married Bertha Coleman of Newton on November 4, 1905, and she died in September 1968. Surviving are three daughters., Mrs. Elery (Opal) Stine of Sterling, Colo., Mrs. Scott (Marie) Chittum and Mrs. David (Oneita) Morrell, both of Denver; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Rue of Minneapolis, Minn,; two sisters, Mrs. Ed (Apple) Parker of Lakeland Nursing Home, Effinghamd and Mrs. Paul (Mellis) Dodd of Newton.
