I found the following "Ardron" in Pike County. Let me know if there is anything else I can do, or if these are not your ancestors give me some different names.

Charlie, 9, M, W, Illinois

1880 Illinois, Adams Co., Beverly Twp, Dist 1
Charles Ardron, W, M, 19, Bro-in-law, Farm Laborer, Illinois

As you can see, Thomas and Ann do not show up after the 1870 Census so possibly they died between 1870/1880. Charles in 1880 is probably the same as Charlie in 1870. The age is right. I don't know where Mary came in. She might have married Charles. He would have been about 39 in 1900. I indicates that Mary was married 13 years and had 2 children both of which were living in 1900. As there is no census in 1890, we can't determine what happened in the 20 span between 1880/1900. We really do miss out on a lot of information because of this.
