What a leap of joy finding that info must have been! I'd nearly die to find my Dominick and Honora's info from Ireland. I would dearly love to find out if Dominick Moran and John Atkinson's wife (and direct neighbor in 1870), are brother and sister. John's son, Matthew, signed my grandpa Moran's baptismal certificate as Godfather. Librarian told me that that spot is usually held for a relative. Maybe... lol

I've had no luck finding my Morans aboard a ship which would have arrived about 1839. It appears to me there is about a 10-15 year gap in ships arriving during that time frame. Historically, maybe, it was a difficult time to sail because of pirating? Other reasons? Anyone know anything about that or having luck with finding ships arriving about that time?
