Hi, I'm not a Vetter, but know of Vetter's in Lake County. As a young girl, my best friend was Norma Lee Vetter, her sister is Judy and brothers, Frank & Butch. Her parents were Doc and Marion Vetter. I'd assume Doc is a nickname, and I'd guess both were probably born about 1915-1930 time frame. I believe at least one of the Vetter boys lives in Waukegan (not sure really), and Norma Lee is living maybe near Cary, IL or near Fox River Grove, IL.

If you think any of these names may be repeated in your Vetter family, I'll ask my mother what Doc's real name was, and I'll look up Vetter name in local phone book.

I'm looking for a Meyer(s) family also, but they were killed in the Chicago Fire of 1871 (I think that's the right date). A data base of victims is non-existent.
