I recently purchased an antique velvet victorian photo album filled with cabinet photos of a Thompson family. The names of the grandparents are just listed as "great grandma Thompson", etc, while the kids are listed as "Aunt Minnie" for example.
Without the parents names, I am having problems tracking down the family. (I would like to return to relatives). In the book there is a photo of the family in front of the Cuyler Boarding house that was apparently run by the Thompson family at some point. I have tried researching the Cuyler house, and the only reference I have found online is that the house was started by the Cuyler family and was owned by the Cuyler family until at least 1874. Apparently Lincoln stayed at the house supposedly at one point. I am guessing the photo I have of the Thompson family is circa 1890, so they must have taken over the house at some point, or perhaps the Cuyler family married into the Thompson family.
Does anyone have any information on the Thompson family who ran the house? While I don't have parent's names, the names of the children are Elmer, Olive, Lena and possibly Minnie. The photos are all very well labelled with first names or "grandma", "great grandpa Thompson" etc, so I am sure that once I figure someone in the family I will then be able to match up photos to the rest of the family members.
