As of 1880, the closest parishes to the area you mentioned (I'll use Franklin and Chicago Ave as a midpoint depending on which 18th ward boundary you need) are:

St. Joseph 1107 N Orleans (German..probably not yours)
Holy Name (records pre 1871 burned)
Immaculate Conception 1431 North park ave. (Irish parish, baptisms and marriages microfilmed from 1862-1915)

Immaculate Conception is LDS film # 1579730
