My husband's gr gr grandfather has no memory of his mother's name. He was about 10-12 years old when he was seperated from her. I find that to be really sad. I don't have any idea where the mother and youngest sister went. Like I mentioned in another post, the older sister went with a union soldier and gr gr grandfather went with union soldier Bennett Starkey, from Hickory County Missouri. Bennett's father was John and I found gr gr grandfather on a census in 1870 under John Starkey.
