I have a bible page regarding the marriage of Jesse Hudson of Poplar Bluff, Mo and Effie A. Conner of Poplar Bluff, Mo in Cairo, ALexander Co., Il 26 July 1914. The witnesses were "J.A. Wright" and "E.C. James", August Bode, Justice of the Peace."

The James was Eugene C. James who in 1920-1940's resided 1111 Washington Ave., Cairo. His wife was an aunt to the Jesse Hudson married.

This Hudson family had lived there ca 1896 where at least one son, Louis Eugene Hudson, was born.

They might have been neigbors - or like James, married into this line in some fashion.
