Surnames: HUDSON, CAIN, KANE, JAMES, CARTER
Seeking information on this individual b. Indiana in 1866. Listed on the 1920 Alexander Co Cairio, census with wife Rosa.

I have located a Benjamin KANE on the 1880 Pulaski Co. census with Wm & Emily Hudson. He is listed as being born ca 1865, IND. and is a "stepson".

In 1868 in Evansville, Vanderbugh Co. a Emily J. Kane marries a Wm Hudson.

On the 1870 census there is a Wm Hudson and Emma with 1 year old child, Louis (Pigeon Twp). This matches most of the information on the 1880 Pulaski Census.

In that same twp is a Thomas Carter, 26, b. Ind and enumerated with him are a Wm Cain 17, b. Ind and a Ben Cain, 5 b. Ind. A death certificate which I believe belongs to the above mentioned Louis Hudson states his parents were named Wm Hudson and "Emma" or Emily Carter (although the name is hard to read clearly.

The Pulaski group is in Cairo ca. 1896 to 1906. A woman who would have been stepsister to Benjamin of the 1880 census , Millie Hudson, md a E.C. James and lived at 1111 Washington Ave., Cairo from about 1914 to 1941.
