Mary Susanna Murray and Wm. Jesse Gordon were the parents of Arthur Monroe Gordon (b. 1883 d. 1942). Arthur Monroe was my grandfather. William Jesse's parents were William Hendley and Mehalia Clemetine (Simmons) Gordon. William J. and Mehalia were married July 1 or 2, 1855 in Long County. There is a family picture of Mehalia with 10 of her 13 children. The picture appeared in the newspaper and I have a copy of the clipping. Acording to an old family bible Mary had three brothers, Alfred, Dan and Jimmie.
