I thought I would never find anyone who knew about the Morgans in Edgefield. My gg grandmother is Martha Ellen Morgan b 1833 d 1915 burried old Presb. church. She had two children out of wedlock (we believe don't know father)
Miles Colombus Morgan and Melicea Emily Morgan. Martha was born in Edgefield later moved to Oconee. Her death certif. says her father was Bailas Morgan, i have not had much luck with that either. Most say her father was Mahlon, I have not seen any documentation. Also, my husband is from the Holloway line. His mother was Evelyn I. Holloway her father was Samuel Holloway. Sam moved to Oregon after divorce and remarried. Do you have anything on either of these families? I have been looking for years but with very limited success. Would love to hear from you.
