Spencer Martin was apparently a resident of Merck’s district Hall County, GA when the lottery was held in 1832. His land lottery draw was lot 281 in the 14th District, 2nd Section of Cherokee County.

I don’t have a copy of the book or maps but I know that the book with maps are available in most libraries under the title “The Cherokee Land Lottery Containing a Numerical List of the Names of the Fortunate Drawers in Said Lottery with an Engraved Map of Each District” by James F. Smith.

I am sure they have a copy of this work at Hall county main Library, Dawson Co. & Lumpkin Co. libraries.
