There is an online archive of newspapers from Augusta and I found one reference to a Covenah.. It was in an April 5, 1823 newpaper regarding a man named Littleton Covenah of Burke county Ga. It discussing a trip from Florida in which he and a friend were stopped by a Seminole indian and detained. They escaped with help of an Indian guide. A couple of days later they saw two men with their throats cut by Indians etc. I will send it by mail if you are related or interested. CSmith
