In the 1850 Census of Elbert County GA there is a D. H. Rumsey (Male, Age 25, Farmer, Born in GA) living in the household of J H Strange (Male, Age 40, Farmer, Born in GA, Real property worth $3,000). This J H Strange is also listed as owning 16 slaves in the 1850 Slave schedule.

Does anyone know what happened to D. H. Rumsey or J H Strange after 1850? I cannot locate either in any later census in Elbert or Hart county.
