This type of research at present can only be conducted to my knowledge in Dover Delaware at the State Archives. Its where I did my very similar research. It can be an expensive project because you not only have the travel expenses, but currently the state archives don't allow flash drives (not sure of camera's, but I don't think so, or scanners and hard copies can run you up to $50.00 before you know it). The records are housed on microfilm, although I am sure they have the original records available if necessary. I have no relationship with any researcher in Dover; so I can't help you there. Pay me $300.00 and I'd do it, lol (that includes the hard copies needed). I am in Virginia; there must be someone closer.
