Yes, I've been trying that (searching for Bryan's from Talbot and Dorchester.
I found an early William Bryan, his brother Author Bryan, Charles K Bryan, Ignatious Bryan, and a very few more existing prior to 1800 in Dorchester and Talbot. Supposedly, William had a son named Robert Smallwood Bryan, bn 1799-died early 1880's. It's possible that this Robert was a cousin or distant cousin. I recently was able to find a loose connection between New Jersey and these Bryans of Kent, Queen Anne, Talbot Counties wrapped around this middle name of Smallwood. Also, according to my dna profile, there may be a very distant connection to a Jacob Bryan of New Jersey. That sums it up for me.
The triangle of New Jersey--Maryland Eastern Shore--Sussex County is very fresh, and I haven't had the time to do any good digging yet.
