Please share your story about your family, how they came to Sussex County before 1800.

This is what I'm trying to find out...where families came from prior to 1800. Which counties, and what states, and if from across the ocean, for what reasons (Potato famine, or whatever).

I've read it somewhere that some families came from Eastern Shore Maryland...if that is true for your family, do you know why they came across to Delaware? I realize that some of Sussex was also considered apart of Maryland at one time. Anything concerning your family can supply would be appreciated
