Hi, I'm not related either, but you don't say where they were married. If you haven't already, I would be looking for the original documents, either marriage return, clerk's or church records. Sometimes it's the license bond gives clues as to next of kin for each party.
Also, since you mention the Presbyterian connection, have you asked at the church or looked for copies via the Historical society or Mormon films? Even familysearch.org might offer some more clues if you get a bit creative in your searching.

A.) and many predecessor denominations. Its holdings include more than 250,000 titles reflecting the history of the Presbyterian tradition in America.
