For those of you seeking Hanby, 1692 the New Jersey Archives lists a conveyance from Wm. Penn to William Hanby, located in Salem county, NJ...which is only divided by the Delaware river from New Castle. The name of Hanby's creek remains here, and was written about in recent years. Check with the Salem county Historical files, but my recollection is the family said to have came up from the south.
