I also descend from Joshua Burnham and Abigail Maynard. I descend from their daughter Sarah Burnham (1742-1815). Sarah Burnham's first husband was John Greenslit; they had only 2 children before John Greenslit died in 1769 in Windham Co., CT. I descend from their son John Greenslit (1767-1856). Sarah married husband #2 Henry Abbott in 1772. They had 8 Abbott children in Windham Co., CT, between 1772-1793. In 1793 Henry and Sarah Abbott and their children moved to Brookfield, Orange Co., VT. I am assuming they moved there because Abbotts and Burnhams had moved here. My ancestor John Greenslit (1767-1856) moved his wife and children to Brookfield, VT, in 1801 -- probably to live near his mother and step-father. Sarah Burnham Greenslit Abbott died in 1815 in Brookfield and is buried in Brookfield Center Cemetery next to her second husband Henry Abbott. Helen Greenslit Graves
