I've been searching for my ggg grandfather Daniel's birth record for many years. I cannot find the names of his parents.

His gravestone spells his middle name Somers, but his death certificate spells it Summers.

1880 Federal Census (Atlantic City NJ) states he was born in CT and both parents were born in CT.

I suspect he's descended from Edward Lacy & Hannah Summers line (Stratfield area), due to Summers name repeated and similar first names used in our line. Have tried to find all descendents of them, but most records are not more recent than 1800.

Possible siblings of Daniel (others listed in 1880 census, born in CT, both parents born there also) William H. Lacy, Russell Lacy, John Lacy. Cannot find their parents either, to even get a clue!


Please, if anyone can help me, I can't tell you how many hours I've put into this. I've been to Hartford, LDS and searched online.

If there are records in the old Stratfield area that may not be available elsewhere, please tell me where to drive and what I need to bring with me.
