Looking for personal info (obit, article, or otherwise) that would help identify the Harry S Little in my line as the same Harry S Little (miner) who is known to have been in the San Juan Co / Rio Grande Co / Saguache Co area from about 1885 to 1939. I haven't been able to find him in the 1900 / 1910 / 1930 census, though I believe I found his listing in Saguache County in 1920.
The minute family information that we have is that Harry 'went west' about 1880, was at one time settled on a ranch near Del Norte, and died in 1939. A Vital Records search a number of years ago came up empty, but I had noted that he died in Rio Grande County - which may not have been the place - so I'm thinking of trying again with a statewide search.
There is a Henry S Little who was buried in 1939 at Del Norte Cemetery who might be my guy.
In February of 1900, a couple of Harry's brothers back east became worried when they received word that a partner of his - Christian W Ihmsen - had perished in a snowslide near Eureka and they had not heard from Harry for some time (Saginaw MI newspaper item), thinking the worst. They did later learn that Harry was fine. The Historical Colorado newspaper site has references to this incident as well, so I feel confident that the Harry S Little in the area is the one I'm searching for, it's just that the latest digitalized articles stop at 1923.
The Harry S Little in my line was born in February 1858 in Pittsburgh PA, the son of David & Elizabeth Little. We do not believe that he ever married or had children but can't be certain.
