Surnames: PIERCE, FULLER, HOWELL
Hi Henny,
Thank you so much for taking the time to look up all this information. You do not know how much this is appreciated.
I am working on the descendants of Franklin Marion PIERCE and Caroline FULLER and Ruth Ann PIERCE is one of their daughters. My gr gr grandfather is their son James Tyree PIERCE. James and his family as well as two other siblings, Alex and Pairlee PIERCE lived and raised their families in Texas.

Many of Marion and Caroline's children were born between 1880 and 1900, so I do not know their names and these PIERCES lived in Independecence and Stone Co., AR area during that time where many other Pierce families lived, so finding which children belonged to my gr gr gr grandparents has been very difficult. I know that at least 7 children were living in 1900, but 2 of them were not living in the home, so know that they were married by 1900. One of those children already married was James Tyree PIERCE and the other is a Unknown PIERCE. I can account for 4 of their children, James Tyre, Ruth Ann, Alex and Pairlee.

Butler County, MOGenWeb does have a extensive data on marriage indexes, so last night was able to find that John HOWELL and Ruth Ann PIERCE were married on January 06, 1909. This means that the older HOWELL children are John's from a previous marriage.

I did find the cemetery info. last night at the El Paso COGenWeb, but there are no dates for Ruth Ann, Claude or the Baby. I only have that Ruth Ann died in 1930.

I also found a divorce index that showed Ruth Ann divorced John HOWELL in 1926 in El Paso Co. This expalins why Alvin HOWELL is in the State Home for Dependent Children in Denver in the 1930 census. Either John HOWELL has left the family all together or he possibly has died as well.

Again, your lookup for information is greatly appreciated. I am just thrilled that my query was answered so quickly.

Sincerely,
Renee Smelley
