I only have Ruth Ann Pierce HOWELL's death date as 1930, which is likely accurate, as she isn't on the 1930 census, and one of her children is in the home for dependent children. She apprently filed for divorce from John W. Howell in 1926 in El Paso Co, and she is listed under the Howell surname in the cemetery, so I know she didn't remarry.

My gr gr grandfather is James Tyree PIERCE born 1866 in GA, died in 1924 North Bend, Coos Co., Oregon in a logging accident and buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Devine, Medina Co., Texas. James is the oldest brother of Ruth Ann Pierce HOWELL. All the other Pierce children were born in Arkansas Their parents, Franklin Marion PIERCE and Caroline FULLER, ended up in Texas, having come from the Independence and Stone County Arkansas area. James came first and is in Texas by 1900 and his parents show up in 1910.

Because the Pierces have been so difficult to find info on I am hoping that somewhere somebody has a family bible or perhaps knows the names of the children of Marion and Caroline PIERCE. I only have a handfull of names. The families of the younger children born between 1880 - 1900 are more likely to have that information. Everyone in our Pierce line that might have known are now gone.
