Thanks so much, Julia-- you gave my research a needed boost! It is tricky to sort out the various MOORE families & descendants.

It does appear that Henry and Catherine divorced; if I have the correct record, he was listed as married at the time of his death in 1886.

Josephine MOORE may have died before 1900, since Joseph M. ELLENBROOK was a lodger in 1900 & 1910. I found an Amy or Anny ELLENBROOK age 10, b. Jan or Jun 1890, in the Mt. St. Joseph Infant Orphan Asylum in 1900. Nine pages of orphans, and that was before the San Francisco fire! The sisters and staff were mostly Irish-American. No Street address was given, but I should look for all the birth records before pursuing that possibility.
