Yes Mendocino Plaskett was the first white child born in Mendocino County. I have a newspaper article written on Nov. 13, 1965 about the life of William Lucas Plaskett and his wife Sarah Barnes Plaskett that gives the information. It was published in the Salinas Californian Newspaper. You can order it from the library on microfilm.
