Dear Sally:

Aside from Cathy's sound advice to contact NARA,
you may be interested to take a look at the
Angel Island Web Site.
http://www.angelisland.org/
and in particular their section on immigration:
http://www.angelisland.org/immigr02.html

Antoher site with information of interest will be:
Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation
http://www.aiisf.org/

They are conducting an Oral History Project. Also
listed on their resources page was this information:
National Japanese American Historical Society
1684 Post Street
San Francisco, CA 94115
(415) 921-5007

Should you be traveling to the San Francisco area, you
might plan time to take a trip to the Island which is
open to the public.

"Angel Island is open from 8 a.m. to sunset year round. For those interested in visiting the Immigration Station, it is necessary to take a guided tour to enter the barracks. To arrange for a volunteer docent, please contact the Angel Island Association (AIA) at (415) 435-3522. Group tours are also available through AIA for a small fee. Groups from grade or high schools may also request a fee waiver packet while scheduling a tour." As quoted from http://www.aiisf.org/

Good luck in your genealogical search,

Lauren
