Winifred D. Stones

A memorial service is pending for Winifred Darrienne Stones of Mill Valley. Mrs. Stones died Sunday, Feb. 12, 1989, at Marin General Hospital after a short illness. She was 91.

Mrs. Stones was a native of Queensland, Australia, and had lived in Mill Valley the past five years.

She was a journalist, photographer and writer.

Mrs. Stones was known as a world traveler. She was described as a brilliant bridge player who also enjoyed walking and writing.

She is survived by a daughter, Darrienne Heller of Maui, and three grandchildren.

Her family asked that memorial contributions go to Whistlestop Wheels in San Rafael.
