Hello; I am in possession of a diary written by CM Patrick, who was living at 1701 Center Street in Compton in 1944. I am hoping to determine who this person's family was, so that I can return the diary to them. Anyone who could look in the 1944 Compton city directory on microfilm or hard copy at a Los Angeles County library would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for some first names for this family so that I can check census records to get started on tracking them down.
I would be happy to assist with census research etc. in return. I have full access to Ancestry.com and can copy records from there.
